As a high school digital art and photography teacher, a goal of mine is to teach students how to perceive the world around them. Art thrives in the ability to perceive life and make something meaningful of it, because we as individuals, as collectives, and even entities are a sum of our unique experiences.
Artist Mos Def was right when he made the distinction: “Art doesn’t imitate life. Art is the expression of life.” If you choose to work with me, your choice is made with that distinction in mind. My goal as an artist is to connect with the things that make YOU, YOU.
